Methods for selecting outstanding graduates of civil engineering in Henan Province

 Chapter I General provisions

  The first is to promote the development of civil engineering in Henan Province，To promote the healthy growth of civil engineering students，Guide college students to establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values，Actively create respect for knowledge，Cherish the good social environment of talents，Encourage the majority of young students to study hard，Healthy and talented，Contribute to society，To become a socialist builder and successor with all-round development of moral, intellectual and physical，In accordance with relevant state regulations，Combined with the actual situation of Henan Province，Henan Civil and Architectural Society decided to set up colleges and universities with civil and architectural engineering disciplines for the whole province，Carry out the selection activities of outstanding graduation design (thesis), outstanding graduates and outstanding university students (hereinafter referred to as "three excellent") of civil and architectural engineering disciplines in Henan Province。

  Second Henan Civil Architecture Society to carry out the "three excellent" selection activities to encourage civil architecture engineering undergraduate students to study hard and strive to make progress，At the same time, it also actively creates a good social environment that respects knowledge and cherishes talents，Train more and better socialist builders and successors with all-round moral, intellectual and physical development，In order to ensure that the selection activities are standardized and smooth，These Regulations are formulated by Henan Civil Architecture Society。

 Chapter II Declaration of recommendation qualifications

  Article 3 The selection objects of this activity are mainly full-time students of colleges and universities with civil and architectural engineering disciplines within the administrative area of Henan Province, and those who meet the requirements of Article 6 ~ Article 9 of these measures can be recommended by their schools to apply for participation in the "three excellent" selection activities。

  Article 4 The recommended unit shall have the group membership of Henan Civil Architecture Society, and support and actively participate in the work of the society and the higher education branch of Henan Civil Architecture Society。

  Article 5 Applicants who apply to participate in the "three excellent" selection activities shall meet the following basic conditions:

  1, love the motherland, support the leadership of the Communist Party of China;Law-abiding, good conduct, actively participate in the school during the school's public welfare activities, outstanding performance, has a demonstration, example role;

  2, actively participate in physical exercise and recreational activities to meet the "National Physical exercise standards";

  3, love the major, excellent performance, comprehensive assessment score reached the top 5% of the grade;

  4. Under the premise of the above basic conditions, those who meet one of the following conditions will be given priority in the selection:

  (1) Have won national or provincial honors or competition awards;

  (2) Have published articles in journals above the provincial level;

  (3) Has been authorized by the national patent。

  Article 6 In addition to meeting the conditions listed in Article 6, the applicant who applies for "excellent graduation project (thesis)" shall score the excellent graduation project (thesis) according to the scoring criteria listed in Table 1, and determine the score value。

  Article 7 Applicants for "outstanding graduates" must meet the following requirements in addition to meeting the conditions listed in Article 6:

  I love my major and have excellent grades。The comprehensive assessment results should reach the top 5% of the grade, and the comprehensive grade point is not less than 3.0。If you cannot meet the requirements of this article, but won the first prize of science and technology innovation awards at the provincial or ministerial level or above, you can declare exceptions。

  Article 8 Applicants for "outstanding college students" must meet the following requirements in addition to meeting the conditions listed in Article 6:

  I love my major and have excellent grades。A combined GPA of 3 or greater for completed courses.0, the average score of professional courses ranked in the top 5 in the major。If you cannot meet the requirements of this article, but won the first prize of science and technology innovation awards at the provincial or ministerial level or above, you can declare exceptions。

Chapter III Application materials

  Article 9 Applicants who apply to participate in the "Three excellent" selection activities shall submit the following materials:

  1. Excellent Graduation Design (Thesis)/ Excellent Undergraduate Graduates/Excellent Graduates of Civil Engineering Discipline of Henan Province Colleges and Universities (hereinafter referred to as "Application recommendation form")。

  2. Copies of the relevant supporting materials (such as transcripts, various award certificates, published papers and patent certificates, etc.) involved in the "Application recommendation Form" shall be reviewed by the school (department) and stamped with the official seal。

  3. Applicants can provide supporting documents (such as CET certificate, NCRE certificate) that can show their application level of a certain skill.。

  4. Applicants who apply to participate in the selection of "Excellent graduation Project (thesis)" must also submit the following materials:

  (1) Graduation design (thesis)PDF version (including calculation instructions and drawings, etc.);

  (2) Graduation defense record, graduation project (thesis) transcript and other relevant information。

  Article 10 The applicant shall bind all the declaration materials (paper carrier) in the order listed in the declaration form, and make corresponding electronic documents (loaded on a U disk), and submit them together with the "declaration recommendation form"。

 Chapter IV selection procedure

  Article 11 The procedures of this selection are: application and recommendation, preliminary evaluation of candidates, evaluation committee evaluation, publicity, announcement and certification。

  1. Application and recommendation。The selection of "Outstanding graduation design (thesis)/ Outstanding Undergraduate graduates/Outstanding Graduates of Civil Engineering Discipline in Henan Province ordinary colleges and universities" follows the principle of "I declare voluntarily, and the school recommends the best". Applicants should first apply to the school and get approval。

  2. Preliminary evaluation of candidates。The applicant's school will organize relevant experts to conduct a preliminary evaluation, and recommend several "three excellent" candidates to Henan Civil Engineering and Architecture Society。

  3、评定。The evaluation committee is composed of experts hired by Henan Civil and Architectural Society。The Chairman of the evaluation committee shall be the chairman (vice) of the society or the secretary general or a famous expert in the field of civil engineering and construction。

  Article 12 The members of the Evaluation Committee shall be appropriately updated each term, and the ratio of updating shall be controlled at about 30%。

Chapter 5 Rewards

  Article 13 Students who are rated as "excellent graduation design (thesis)" and "outstanding graduates" and "excellent college students" shall be commended and issued a certificate by Henan Civil Architecture Society after being publicized to the society and widely publicized to the society。

  Chapter VI Supplementary Provisions

  Article 14 These measures shall be implemented as of January 1, 2016, and shall be interpreted by Henan Civil and Architectural Society。
